The Sun Will Set To Rise

Welcome to my blog! My name is Christian Dew Dodds and I am a small-town girl who was raised in the south. I am married to my best friend, Derek, who supports me in some of the biggest ways. We have a beautiful life filled with love, and we are blessed beyond measure. Together we have eight adult children as a blended family, and that includes some of their spouses, as well as all of their pets. My husband and I are deeply rooted in our faith, and we love having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Together, we make an amazing team!

My most favorite thing in life is being a mom. I became a mom in my early twenties, and I have grown up with my children over the years. I was a single parent for over twenty years and I thank God for giving me such amazing children. My daddy always said that the kids have raised me but I really think we have raised each other, lol. They teach me more about myself everyday, and about life as well. There is never a dull moment when we are all together. We enjoy the simple things in life, we take it a day at a time, and we are forever grateful for each moment we get with each other.

I hope to inspire and encourage others to see the good in everything – even when it may be hard to do so. Life is a beautiful gift from God and we should treasure it, embrace it and never waste it. As I share my experiences with readers, you will find that I am passionate for sharing what matters from the heart. You will get to know the life I have lived, am currently living and all of the experiences that come with it. 

I share stories from my career as a flight attendant, my life as a single parent, my journey as a Christian, words of hope and inspiration, and sometimes stories of frustration and so much more! There is not a one topic fits all here. This is where you will find daily life, how we handle it and what makes us better.

As you read my blog you will get an in depth feeling of the rawness of my life, the honesty that comes with doing what I do, who I am and the compassion I feel for humanity. In a world where social media can misconstrue the real person, I want to show the world a realistic, inside view of the emotions that make up the fibers of a woman who wears many hats of life.
