I woke up early this morning, made my way to the kitchen and put on a fresh pot of coffee. As I was standing there, still in my sleepy era, I caught a glimpse of the sun as it peeked through the trees. I made my way to the sunroom, and I felt an overwhelming amount of peace and gratitude for my daughter and her husband, for I was standing in their home, and watching their sunrise.
As the first light began to stretch across the sky and the birds were sharing their morning chorus, the world seemed to slow down just enough to remind me of what truly matters.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” James 1:17
My heart is so full as I watch my daughter and her husband begin this new chapter, making a home in such a peaceful place. It’s a dream taking shape, rooted in love, hard work, and hope for the future. I couldn’t be more proud of the life they are creating together.
Life has a beautiful way of coming full circle, doesn’t it? As parents, we spend years guiding, teaching, protecting, and encouraging our children. Then one day, without realizing it, the roles begin to shift. They become the ones sharing their wisdom, inviting us into the lives they are building, and reminding us that the seeds we planted have grown into something beautiful.
There is so much joy in watching your children become confident, capable adults. It is one of life’s greatest blessings. Being able to witness them building families, homes, and memories of their own while knowing you will always have a place in their hearts.
Raising good children isn’t about being perfect. It is about loving them well, leading by example, and giving them roots strong enough to stand on their own. The greatest reward is watching them grow into kind, hardworking adults who build lives filled with love, purpose, and grace. I am so proud of all my children and the dreams they are building with their forever partners.
Soon, the coffee was done, and I wiped a few small tears that had fallen and as the sun continued to rise over the hills while everyone was still sleeping, I was reminded just how blessed I am, how blessed we all are if we just take the time to look around us.
I am thankful for family, thankful for new beginnings and I am thankful for peaceful mornings that give us time to reflect on how far we’ve come and all the goodness still ahead.
Sometimes the greatest gift isn’t in holding on, it is watching those you love spread their wings, knowing they’ll always find their way home.
Peace, Love & Happiness,
Christian 🩷
